FAQ
Can I schedule online, or should I call?
Routine eye exams and contact lens exams can be scheduled online or by phone.
For specialty care, urgent eye concerns, or optical-only visits, please call us so our team can help schedule the right type of appointment. This helps make sure you are seen by the right person, at the right location, with enough time reserved for what you need.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your insurance card, photo ID, any prescription glasses you currently use and a copy of your latest glasses and contact lens prescription. Please fill out your digital intake forms sent to you and plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
How long does an eye exam take?
A comprehensive eye exam typically takes 45-60 minutes. This includes visual assessment, eye health screening, and personalized recommendations.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Solaire Vision accepts most major vision and medical insurance plans. Our team can help verify your benefits before your visit and review your expected copays, so you have a clearer understanding of your coverage before your exam begins.
We do not accept Medicaid at this time, but we are happy to review our self-pay options with you.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes. We welcome new patients at both our Herndon and Oakton offices. Whether you need an annual eye exam, new glasses, contact lenses, urgent eye care, or ongoing monitoring, we’re happy to help.
Can I come in just for glasses?
Absolutely. If you already have a current prescription, you’re welcome to visit our optical and shop for glasses. If you need an exam first, we can help with that too.
Do I need an appointment to shop for glasses?
No, an appointment is not required. That said, we love giving our patients the dedicated attention they deserve. Booking an optical appointment helps us make sure an optician is ready for you, focused on you, and able to guide you through the collection without rushing.
