Our Doctors

Our doctors take time to listen, explain, and understand the details behind your vision. It’s eye care that feels personal without ever feeling rushed.

Dr. Sami Khaldieh

Optometrist

As a lifelong eye care patient himself, Dr. Sami understands how much the quality of an exam can shape the way someone feels about their care. He believes patients deserve to feel heard, understand what is happening with their eyes, and leave knowing that their doctor gave their concerns the attention they deserved.

That perspective is especially personal in his work with myopia management. Having experienced progressive myopia himself, Dr. Sami is passionate about helping children protect their vision while their eyes are still developing. He also enjoys working with adults to refine their vision and show them just how clear it can be when the details of their prescription are carefully considered.

Dr. Sami’s style in the exam room is calm, thorough, and reassuring. He takes a highly personalized approach to care and believes in treating every patient with the same attention he would want for his own family. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is accredited by the International Academy of Myopia Management (IACMM), reflecting advanced training in myopia management and orthokeratology.

A Northern Virginia native, Dr. Sami grew up locally and attended Virginia Commonwealth University before optometry school. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, searching for the best local meals, and following college basketball, especially his VCU Rams.

Dr. Rami Khaldieh

Optometrist

Dr. Rami is known for taking the time to help patients truly understand their eyes and vision. Before becoming an optometrist, he spent time as a tutor, developing a skill that now defines much of his approach to patient care: taking complicated information and explaining it in a way that is clear, useful, and easy to understand.

His clinical style is analytical, conversational, and thorough. Dr. Rami particularly enjoys comprehensive eye care, careful refractions, and thoughtfully selecting contact lenses based on each patient’s eyes, visual needs, and lifestyle. He believes that a little extra time spent testing, assessing, and explaining can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s experience and outcome.

A Virginia Tech graduate, Dr. Rami earned a 4.0 in college, graduated with honors, and received multiple academic scholarships throughout college and optometry school. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. He has also volunteered with Remote Area Medical, providing eye exams during long clinic days for underserved communities with limited access to healthcare.

Dr. Rami grew up in Northern Virginia and is proud to care for the community he calls home. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, research, and spending time with family.

Dr. Alexa Vinh

Optometrist

Dr. Vinh is known for making patients feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. Patients often tell her how at ease she makes them feel, and that warmth is paired with a very thorough approach to care. She takes her time, listens closely, and wants every patient to leave feeling confident that their concerns were taken seriously.

Dr. Vinh especially enjoys comprehensive eye care, contact lens exams, dry eye, adolescent care, and urgent eye concerns such as red eyes and styes. She takes particular pride in refraction and is careful about fine-tuning a patient’s prescription rather than treating it as just another step in the exam. Her approach is highly personalized, with the goal of getting the details right while keeping the experience relaxed and easy to understand.

Dr. Vinh completed her undergraduate education at Cleveland State University, where she earned an academic scholarship, before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. Her training included rigorous clinical externships that exposed her to a broad range of patients and eye conditions and helped shape the thoughtful, detail-oriented doctor she is today.

Originally from Amherst, Ohio, Dr. Vinh moved to Northern Virginia after graduation. Outside the office, she enjoys scrapbooking, beading, crochet, cooking, trying new restaurants, and going for walks.

Dr. Hailey Jung

Optometrist

Dr. Jung takes a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to care, with a focus on making sure patients feel heard, understood, and confident in what comes next. She never wants an appointment to feel rushed or leave someone wondering whether their concerns were fully addressed. Instead, she takes the time to explain what she finds in clear terms and make patients an active part of their care.

Dr. Jung enjoys comprehensive eye care and the variety that comes with seeing both routine and medical eye conditions. She has a particular interest in dry eye and myopia management, areas she finds especially meaningful because she can personally relate to the patient experience. Curious by nature, she enjoys keeping up with new research, technology, and treatments so she can continue bringing thoughtful, up-to-date care to her patients.

Dr. Jung attended the University of Virginia before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. She earned Dean’s List recognition during her education, and her clinical experience included specialized rotations along with opportunities to teach and mentor others. Those experiences helped shape the collaborative, education-focused approach she brings to the exam room today.

Dr. Jung grew up in Northern Virginia and ultimately returned to the area to be close to family. Outside the office, she enjoys discovering new coffee shops, testing baking recipes, and traveling.
