Dr. Sami Khaldieh
Optometrist
Dr. Sami was born and raised in this community, and he is proud to care for the families and neighbors he grew up around.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, he earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His training included experience at a VA hospital, where he cared for patients with a wide range of visual and ocular health needs. That experience, along with his own journey into fatherhood, shaped the way he practices: with patience, perspective, and a deep respect for every stage of life.
Dr. Sami believes patients deserve more from eye care. More time. More clarity. More connection. Whether he is helping a child through their first exam, guiding a parent through changing vision, or caring for a veteran with complex needs, he brings the same attention and heart to the room.
He has also earned International Academy Certification in Myopia Management, IACMM, reflecting his advanced training and commitment to protecting children’s long-term vision health.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sami enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He is a devoted foodie, always searching for the best local meals, and a passionate college basketball fan, especially when cheering on his VCU Rams.

Dr. Rami Khaldieh
Optometrist
Dr. Rami brings a rare mix of academic discipline, service, and natural teaching ability to patient care.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, graduating summa cum laude after earning a 4.0 GPA and repeated academic honors. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University, where he received the highly competitive HOYA scholarship and continued mentoring peers through tutoring.
Throughout his training, Dr. Rami remained deeply committed to service. Through Remote Area Medical, RAM, he volunteered in long clinic days providing care to underserved patients, an experience that strengthened his belief that good eye care should feel clear, respectful, and accessible.
Patients often appreciate Dr. Rami’s ability to explain complex ideas in a way that feels simple and reassuring. His background in tutoring and teaching shows up in every exam, helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rami is known for his smoked brisket, a 16-hour labor of love that says a lot about his patience and refusal to rush a good thing.

Dr. Alexa Vinh
Optometrist
Dr. Vinh grew up in Amherst, Ohio, and earned academic scholarships while completing her undergraduate degree at Cleveland State University. She went on to graduate with high distinction from The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
Dr. Vinh is known for her unique combination of clinical sharpness and extraordinary empathy. She is thoughtful, perceptive, and deeply caring, with a way of making patients feel understood before they ever feel examined.
Her diagnostic skill is especially valuable in complex cases, but patients often remember something more personal: the time she takes, the way she listens, and how comfortable they feel in her care. She brings warmth, emotional intelligence, and a slightly quirky sense of humor to every visit.
Outside the office, Dr. Vinh enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with her niece, and relaxing with video games.
