How does frame quality affect my vision?
Your prescription only works as well as the frame holding it. If a frame slips, tilts, stretches, or sits unevenly, your lenses may not stay properly centered in front of your eyes. A well-made, properly fit frame helps your glasses feel more comfortable and keeps your vision clearer throughout the day.
How do I know if a frame is right for my prescription?
You don’t have to figure that out alone. Some prescriptions work better with certain frame shapes, sizes, and materials. Our optical team will help you choose a frame that works with your prescription, not against it.
Do you have frames that are good for sensitive skin?
Many of our frames are selected with skin comfort in mind, including options with hypoallergenic materials and comfortable nose pads. If you’ve had irritation from glasses in the past, let us know. We can help guide you toward frames that are less likely to bother your skin.
How long will my glasses take to be ready?
Most glasses are ready within 2 to 3 weeks.
Once your order is placed, we send your prescription, measurements, lens design, and frame details to the lab. Each pair is made for your specific prescription, your selected frame, and the way the lenses need to sit in front of your eyes.
When your glasses arrive, we verify them carefully before letting you know they are ready for pickup. We always want your glasses back as soon as possible, but we care just as much about making sure they are made correctly.
Do all of your offices have frames I can choose from?
Yes. Both our Herndon and Oakton offices have optical collections with frames you can try on. The selections are not identical, though. Each optical is hand-curated, so you’ll find overlap between locations along with pieces chosen specifically for that office.
